Simulate, Stimulate, Educate, Explicate
The last two days have been exciting, draining, stimulating, and challenging. I was in the Bosnia Peacekeeping
Simulation exercise with about 50 other Sloanies — both first- and second-years. We were divided up into different groups
with each group responsible for a certain function. Our task was to get a group of people to a new safe camp which had water
and agriculture land within 500 meters. We were given maps and radios and communicated back and forth between various groups.
We encountered several roadblocks. Some of our folks were captured and we had to negotiate the release of a reporter, but
finally we made it within the six hours. We had people from the U.S. military observe and give us feedback on our performance.
